About Birmingham Improv Festival: Double Bill - The Library of Forgotten Books / ¡Horario Estelar!

The Librarians Anděl Sudik and Rebecca MacMillan present:

The Library of Forgotten Books

Breathe in! What do you smell? Paper, leather binding, printing ink, wooden shelves, furniture wax, dust. Welcome to the library of forgotten books. This space is a repository, and also a place of ritual. In the library The Librarians examine forgotten books, channel their contents, and determine their place… be it on a shelf in the library of our minds, or oblivion. We invite the audience to bring an unloved or forgotten book* for potential submission to the library.

*Warning. Books submitted to the library may be damaged or even destroyed in the name of improv. If you don’t want to see that, don’t come along. You may bring books of your own, or that you have found discarded or already damaged. Only submit books to The Librarians that you don’t want or need to get back.

¡Horario Estelar!

¡Passion! ¡Drama! ¡Deception! Más pasión¡ That’s right, it’s time for ¡Horario Estelar!

Tune into a brand new, never-before-seen, fully improvised madcap fusion of comedy, drama, culture, and language that reimagines Latin America’s soapiest and most pleasurable Prime Time creation, the Telenovela. Dive into a world of shocking secrets, nail-biting intrigue, star-crossed lovers, inconceivable plots, and more dastardly villains than you’ll know how to fall in love with (or throw off a cliff).

It’s sexy, it’s empowering, it’s theatrical, and it will leave you on the edge of your seat and begging for more.
