Experience some of the greatest Bollywood songs - including Ajeeb Dastan, Kabhi Kabhie and Chaiyya Chaiyya - performed live by dynamic singing duo Parry and Rekha alongside musicians from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. This special outdoor performance guarantees to be an event to remember.

Biographies
Parry
Parry is a powerhouse vocalist whose repertoire spans a variety of genres and traditions. Crowned amongst the final six in the reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge in 2005, his journey has taken him to stages across the world. Honing his craft under the revered guidance of Tauseef Akhtar ji, Parry’s musical journey delves deeper into Classical Indian heritage.
Parry has collaborated with artists like Kuljit Bhamra and performed in London’s West End Production of “Bend It Like Beckham the Musical” in addition to many prestigious performances and festivals.
Rekha
Rekha has spent the last fifteen years performing across the world on many prestigious platforms. She is a student of Tauseef Akhtar ji in London and is undergoing training in Classical Indian and Western music.
She has performed and collaborated with Shankar Mahadevan, Kuljit Bhamra, Naughty Boy, Ellie Goulding, Arjun and her voice is featured in Gurinder Chadha’s movie “Viceroy’s House” with music by AR Rahman.
Rekha’s theatre credits include playing the lead role Rani in “Bombay Superstars” in the West End in 2024, “Bend it Like Beckham the Musical” at the Phoenix Theatre in London and “Bhangra Nation” at the Birmingham Rep.
She has performed live with the CBSO, the BBC concert orchestra and the London Bollywood Orchestra.
Rekha’s training also includes Bollywood dance and acting workshops in London and Mumbai.
City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) is an internationally celebrated symphony orchestra, at home in Birmingham. A family of 90 incredible musicians, led by Music Director Kazuki Yamada, proud to make exciting musical experiences that matter.
Resident at Symphony Hall, the orchestra’s musicians perform over 150 concerts each year in Birmingham, the UK and around the world, with music that ranges from classics to contemporary, soundtracks to symphonies, and everything in between.
For more than 100 years, the CBSO has been involved in every aspect of music-making in the Midlands. And through its wide-reaching community and education projects, choruses, and youth ensembles, this continues to grow – helping to build a life-long love of music for audiences, communities and musicians across Birmingham, the West Midlands and beyond.
