About Girls That Geek: Sustainable Futures

10am - 2.45pm | Booking essential

Join us for our annual one-day event for young women age 12 and upwards to explore opportunities for women working in art and technology.

This year’s theme is ‘Sustainable Futures’ as we examine the role technology can play in supporting sustainable, healthy and creative lives.

The event is specifically designed to support students who are considering their career choices by showcasing the range of opportunities available in areas such as music production, academic research, photography, virtual reality, television, gaming and film.

Students will hear from a number of inspirational speakers, get hands on with tech in our ‘Show and Tell’ space, talk to specialists about career opportunities and visit MAC’s latest exhibition Waste Age: What can design do? which reimagines a future of clean materials and circular economy.
