Join accomplished Islamic artist and Arabic calligrapher Sameea Rahat for a fun, familyfriendly workshop exploring the beauty of Islamic calligraphy. Open to children, young people, and adults, this hands-on session is suitable for all abilities and offers a creative introduction to one of the most celebrated art forms in Islamic culture.
Participants will enjoy a lively introduction to the history and significance of Islamic calligraphy before exploring Arabic letterforms through painting, colour, and creative expression. All materials will be provided, including brushes, paints, and art supplies, so everyone can create their own unique artwork to take home.
Throughout the Spirit of Pakistan Festival weekend, visitors can also view a selection of Sameea’s beautiful artwork on display. Her work, including her celebrated Qur’anic duʿā collection, reflects a passion for preserving and celebrating Islamic heritage through art. Exhibited at prestigious civic and cultural events, her pieces have inspired audiences from all walks of life through their beauty, meaning, and storytelling.
