A double bill featuring two of the most exciting young bands to emerge on the Birmingham scene. Dreamscapes led by guitarist Julien Durand and featuring vocalist Lucy-Anne Daniels has established quite a reputation, bringing out its first EP named simply Dreamscapes and playing the Cheltenham Jazz Festival in 2024.
In the second set saxophonist and composer David Bustos presents his new ensemble. His music has been described as “atmospheric and spiritual” (TDE) . He draws influence from the spirit of jazz greats such as Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders, as well as the intimacy of Björk and Sam Gendel.
