About Vortex by Humanhood
Vortex is a full-length immersive movement/dance production exploring the concept of a vortex as a physical and energetic phenomenon in nature, in specific fluid dynamics, and in the human psyche. In the words of Nassim Haramein: ‘Life is a vortex’; from our solar system to the circular movement in galaxies and atoms, to the evolution of consciousness towards singularity.
The piece takes inspiration from the image of the eye of the tornado, and how we humans can activate deep reservoirs of unexplored resilience within ourselves to adapt, transform and evolve in any apparent chaos. Vortex is both a physical and spiritual exploration into the dynamics of a vortex and how this motion found in countless moving systems of life can accelerate the unfoldment of our future becoming, as physical, psychological, and spiritual beings.
