About Women & Theatre: On Ya Bike!

On Ya Bike! encourages communities to engage in cycling and active travel as part of their day to day life. Following research carried out with local community groups, the play was written to explore the barriers faced by working class women and how they can be overcome.

Originally funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority Active Travel programme, On Ya Bike! toured community spaces last year in North Solihull. This year, Women and Theatre are bringing their bikes out to ride again at MAC’s Big Green Weekender.

It was fantastic, authentic, really well performed and genuinely thought provoking.
