Woodland Petting Zoo at MAC

11am - 2pm | Free, drop-in | Outdoor Terrace

As half-term kicks off, come and meet furry, feathery and prickly friends up close, inspired by our Christmas show, Tales from Acorn Wood At Christmas (Tue 1 – Sun 27 Dec). 

You can also grab a cosy hot chocolate on the Outdoor Terrace from our pop up and get your litte one's face painted with their favourite woodland friends. And the best part is the face painting and petting zoo are entirely free! Donations welcome.

Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s beloved Tales from Acorn Wood stories are brought to life on stage this Christmas in an enchanting, festive show. Alongside all the your favourite Acorn wood characters, this special show includes the festive tale of Squirrel’s Snowman – can you help her find everything she needs to build a snowman? Packed full of toe-tapping songs, puppetry, and all the friends from Acorn Wood, this beautiful show is the perfect festive treat for all of the family. 

FOR ONE DAY ONLY, you can come and meet all your favourite woodland creatures including:

• A Hedgehog
• A Barn Owl
• A Tawny Owl
• A Little Owl
• Rabbits
• African Land Snails
• African Train Millipedes

Notes to visitors:

Service dogs are welcome, but no other dogs are permitted at this event.

Each time slot will be 30 minutes. There will be 15-minute breaks between time slots for the welfare and comfort of the animals.

• 1.15pm - 1.45pm
