About Made at MAC: Celebrating Ceramics

Celebrating Ceramics showcases the wonderful creativity and skill of participants, tutors and artist pass holders who created work at MAC during 2023.

The show demonstrates the incredible versatility and beauty of clay, from coil pots and handbuilt vessels, to inlaid porcelain, wheel-thrown ceramics and sculptural forms, decorated with coloured slips, oxide glazes or inlays.

The work was created in our world-class ceramics studios, made possible by the generous support of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) and Arts Council England in 2020.

A heartfelt thanks to our artist tutors, Andrea Clarke, Emily-Kriste Wilcox, Libby Gillies, Martin McNally, Mike Martin, Ronnie Diggins, Serge Sanghera, and Sue Dyer.

Selected works from the exhibition are available for sale, please enquire in-person at MAC's Welcome Desk.

Kindly supported by Arts Council England and players of People's Postcode Lottery.
