Why should I hire with MAC?
We deliver a bespoke, experience-focused service and our team is passionate about delivering exceptional events.
MAC is a registered charity that aims to make art accessible to all. When you host an event here, all profits go towards creating life changing creative opportunities within our community. Thank you for your support.
What catering options are there for my event?
We have a range of catering options available for your event, please visit our Event Catering page for more information. Alternatively, you may buy your own food and drinks from our café KILN, MAC Bar or KILN Express.
MAC is a registered charity and all profits from KILN, MAC Bar and KILN Express are reinvested back into the charity. Only food and drinks bought at MAC may be consumed on our premises. Your support is hugely valued.
How do I make an enquiry?
Our Sales and Events team is available from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Please call us on 0121 446 3250 or email [email protected]. You can also fill in our enquiry form.
Can I arrange a tour of MAC's spaces?
Our Sales and Events team are happy to show you around and help find the most suitable setting for your event. To arrange a tour around MAC, please contact our team on 0121 446 3250 or email [email protected].

Is MAC accessible?
MAC is fully wheelchair accessible from the carpark and throughout the building, and two lifts can be used to move between floors. Accessible unisex toilets are available on every floor fitted with alarm cords. MAC has a Changing Places toilet installed, to support people with access needs who have one or more assistants with them.

What are MAC's opening hours?
MAC is open from 9am - late. Times may be altered to suit event hire requirements. If you need to access MAC early to set up your event, a member of the Sales and Events team will be there to help. If you arrive before 9am, please use the intercom system on the main door's entrance.
Is there a car park available for visitors?
Birmingham City Council manages the Queen's Ride car park next to MAC, Pershore Road car park next to the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park (BWCP), and the smaller Russell Road car park. These car parks are pay and display.
MAC is not responsible for these car parks. Please visit the Council's website for information on car park pricing.
Can I film/ photograph at MAC?
If you would like to film or photograph at MAC - either in our rooms or public spaces - you will need to fill in a filming and photography request form, two weeks prior to your visit. Please return completed filming and photography request forms to [email protected]
Does MAC have a standard risk assessment?
Yes, we have a standard risk assessment which is available upon request. Please contact our Sales and Events team at [email protected] for further information.
Payment information
When is payment taken for my hire event?
Full payment is required ahead of your booking at MAC.
How can I make a payment?
Payments can be made by:
- Calling our friendly Sales and Events Team on 0121 446 3250, quoting your event date, room details and full name.
- Via bank transfer, supplied by our Sales and Events Team.
Please include your event date, room details and full name are quoted in your payment reference. Please contact our team to obtain MAC's bank details.
