Wheelchair spaces

To make it as easy as possible for everyone to access MAC we have improved the process for booking accessible tickets by introducing a simple way to do this online.

We’re piloting this process and will continue to make adjustments in the coming weeks. We welcome your feedback - please contact our marketing team with your thoughts and suggestions.

Your account

Before you can book wheelchair spaces online, you need to create an online MAC account and set up your accessibility preferences.

You only need to do this once - when your account preferences have been updated you will not need to do this part of the process again. You will now be able to book accessible tickets, whenever you are logged into your MAC account.

Booking wheelchair spaces

The process is slightly different depending on if the event you are booking tickets for has reserved (where you can pick an individual seat) or unreserved seating (where you just select your ticket type):

Reserved seating events

Step 1

Make sure you have set up your online account and selected your accessibility preferences.

Step 2

Log into your account and find your event on our website - if you are a wheelchair or mobility scooter user, you will now be able to see available wheelchair and companion seats. These will appear as a wheelchair icon and a W icon on the plan.

Step 3

Select your tickets from the seating plan and click Continue.

Step 4

Choose your ticket types:

If you need to book a free companion ticket, choose one Accessible / Disabled ticket along with one Companion ticket from the drop-down lists and then click Continue.

This will make the Companion ticket free.

Step 5

Follow the usual steps to checkout your basket online.

Unreserved seating events

Step 1

Make sure you have set up your online account and selected your accessibility preferences.

Step 2

Log into your account and find your event on our website. For events with unreserved seating there is no option to choose an individual seat.

Step 3

Enter the number of tickets you would like into the relevant ticket type boxes.

Don’t forget to add in a free Companion ticket if you need one. The cost will be discounted at checkout to make it free.
