About BFI LFF 2026: Possible Love

A chance meeting introduces filmmaker Ye-ji to Mi-ok'sfamily, whose lives have been affected by her husband's unemployment. They're perfect subjects for her documentary on laid-off workers, leading them to spend more time in Ye-ji and her husband's world. But as their lives intersect, the stark contrast between their class and background sees fractures begin to appear in the collaboration.

Lee Chang-dong returns with a brilliant, taut drama that follows four strangers who become entwined in a compelling web of hidden desires and repressed emotions.

Presented as part of the 70th BFI London Film Festival.
