Animated hand-drawn image of a joyful child floating in water, wearing a bright orange and yellow inflatable swim ring. The scene is viewed from above, revealing lily pads with pink lotus flowers scattered across the blue water's surface. The art style has a charming, animated quality with soft colors and a playful energy.

About Colour Box: Little Amelie

Driven by the joy and confusion of a little girl’s discovery of the world and her place within it, Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han’s astoundingly beautiful animation feels like it’s arrived from a different planet.

In late 1960s Japan, toddler Amélie finds the world a peaceful, perplexing mystery until a rapturous encounter with chocolate ignites her wild sense of curiosity about…well, everything!

The drop-in workshop begins at 10am in the Deloitte Room and the relaxed film screening begins at 11am in the Cinema. Tickets are also available to see the film without the workshop.
