Flatpack 2025
The eclectic pop-up film festival returns to MAC.
The human and fairy worlds collide when curious sprite Crysta (Samatha Mathis) accidentally shrinks human logger Zak (Jonathan Ward).
FernGully is a (largely hand-drawn) magical rainforest where the power of nature must be protected at all costs. This 90s family adventure boasts a star-studded cast, with Robin Williams’ first animated role as loveable sidekick Batty and Tim Curry as the evil pollution spirit Hexxus.
The environmental message at the heart of the film is as urgent as ever, as is the gentle reminder of the healing power of nature and humanity's capacity for change.
Plus, the film is worth watching for Tim Curry’s oily rendition of Toxic Love alone - check out the full list of Curry’s festival appearances here.
Before the screening, join the Colour Box team in the Performance Studio for an hour long drop-in workshop for ages 3-12.
