A black-and-white promotional photograph of two men (Laurel and Hardy) in suits and bow ties, each holding a bowler hat. The man on the left has wild, tousled hair and a mischievous grin, while the man on the right is larger, with slicked-back hair, a small moustache, and a broad smile. Both are posed facing the camera in a lighthearted, comedic manner.

About Flatpack 2026: Colour Box Slapstick Saturday

Think silent comedy is just for adults? Think again.

In this programme of the funniest slapstick shorts from the silent era, we’ll see Buster Keaton pulling off gravity-defying stunts that would make a modern CGI artist sweat, while Laurel & Hardy turn the simplest tasks into total, glorious disasters. These masters of mayhem prove you don’t need dialogue to be the funniest people on the planet.

With live piano accompaniment from the incredible Meg Morley, this is a rare chance to experience silent comedy exactly as it was meant to be seen (and heard) - with a room full of giggling families.
