About Julie Keeps Quiet
A taut and controlled study of power, abuse and repression is set in an elite tennis academy. Julie, superbly played by newcomer and teen tennis player Tessa Van den Broeck, excels in her sport of choice. She’s a star student, heading for a professional career.
When her coach Jérémy is suspended, suspicions of inappropriate conduct link him to the suicide of a former top pupil. As investigations into further possible abuse are pursued, Julie is encouraged to speak up. She remains silent, fixed on her game. This quietly potent drama speaks volumes about the inner turmoil and outward repression of abuse and trauma.
