Two people sitting on a bench eating ice cream or popsicles. There's a man in a blue patterned shirt and shorts, and a woman in dark clothing, both wearing sunglasses. They're in what looks like a parking area with buses or RVs in the background, giving it a travel or vacation setting.

About Signs Of Life + Q&A

Written & directed by Joseph Millson, Signs Of Life is a moving, poignant drama following mid-life lost souls thrown together in sunny Lanzarote whilst attempting to find their way through their individual personal crises.

Struck dumb by a dangerous cycle of depression and grief, Anne (Sarah-Jane Potts) attempts to shift her life by taking herself on a cheap holiday, she hopes to find peace, beauty and perspective, but on arrival she’s met with noise, squalor and danger. Threats to her safety force Anne to sleep rough in a unknown place, a chance encounter with another solo traveller named Bill (David Ganly) offers her an unexpected solution and a chain of surprising and often hilarious events unfold between these two strangers.

The screening will be followed by a live onstage Q&A with director Joseph Millson.
