A red-haired man in a red-and-yellow rain jacket, dress shirt, and tie stands on a stone jetty facing the camera with a tense, uncertain expression, flanked in soft focus by two figures in traditional fisherman's sweaters with their backs turned toward him. The overcast sea and sky stretch out behind him.

About The Incomer

Raised on a remote Scottish island, oddball siblings Isla and Sandy spend their days hunting, squabbling and telling stories. But when nervy council official Daniel (Gleeson) arrives on the island intent on moving them along, the pair must wrestle with the threat and exciting possibilities of the mainland.

Crammed with intriguingly strange characters and performed with aplomb by a wonderful cast, this terrific debut from director Louis Paxton fuses surreal humour, warmth and pathos.
