About Monkeypaw presents The Pigs Underneath + HIM

Join us for a very special Halloween event in association with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions.

The evening begins with a screening of The Pigs Underneath, one of five short films produced for Monkeypaw Productions and Toronto International Film Festival’s No Drama Initiative. Directed by Midlands filmmaker Charlie Dennis, a cast that includes Josh Tedeku and Vinette Robinson star in a story of impoverished residents in a tight-knit dystopian community who are forced to meet a brutal quota to survive, followed by a live onstage Q&A with cast and crew, including writer-director Charlie Dennis, producer Rem Conway, actor Josh Tedeku and Monkeypaw development executive Whitney Fuller.

After a short interval, the evening will conclude with a screening of the new Monkeypaw feature HIM from filmmaker Justin Tipping. HIM centres on a promising young football player (Tyriq Withers) invited to train at the isolated compound of a dynasty team's aging quarterback (Marlon Wayans), who takes his new protégé on a blood-chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, power and pursuit of excellence at any cost.

In association with the Royal Television Society Midlands, Universal, Lowkey Films and Senti Films.
