About Make a Printed Zine Camp (CSC271)

Combine printmaking and zine creating in this creative two-day workshop.

What will you learn on this course?

Learn to use collage and print to produce a hand printed zine.

Taking inspiration from the tradition of self-published fanzines you will learn how to create your own handmade magazine or book with theme of your choosing. Whether it’s unicorns or wrestling that takes your fancy (perhaps a bit of both!) you can make a zine to reflect you!

On this course you will learn a range of hands on, practical design and layout techniques that will help to share what it is you want to say. You will learn collage, monoprint and self-publishing in a fun environment.

By the end of the workshop you will have made your very own zine to show off to friends and family.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for children aged 6 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and does not require any previous experience. We provide a learning support worker and all our staff are DBS checked. Parents are not expected to accompany children on the course.

The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. A parent or carer may attend to assist the child if required; carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending to provide support. Please contact us to discuss your specific access needs. The room is wheelchair accessible.

Age ranges are set carefully to consider key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
