Theresa Summerfield

Passionate about sewing and teaching, Theresa loves being able to combine the two. Costume Manager for local theatre company Festival Arts, Theresa has a Creative Arts degree from the University of Birmingham, specialising in textiles.

Theresa is a Primary School Teacher and student with the Royal School of Needlework. Theresa has delivered 1:1 tuition and after school sewing clubs. As well as sewing clothes, Theresa is passionate about repairing and upcycling to increase the lifespan of garments and other items. She also enjoys hand embroidery, machine embroidery and felting.

Theresa has lived within walking distance of the MAC Centre for most of her life and has been visiting since she was a young girl – enjoying the park, exhibitions, boating on the lake, mini golf, the cinema and theatre. As an adult Theresa enjoys sharing her love for the MAC Centre with her own children.
