There's a lot to explore and enjoy here at mac birmingham. We have two theatres, a cinema, a gallery and other exhibition spaces, performance studios, dance and drama rehearsal spaces, music rooms, a media studio, studios for pottery, textiles, jewellery, sculpture and painting, a bar and café.
Outside mac is a large free car park, with facilities for coach parking. It is owned and maintained by Birmingham City Council. Please note, at peak times it can become very busy.
There is level or ramped access throughout the building, and wheelchair-accessible lifts are available to reach all levels. Accessible toilets are located on every level, and a toilet with hoist and shower is also available. (If you require this facility please contact the Sales & Information desk.)
The Theatre, Cinema, Foyle Studio and Hexagon are fitted with infra–red systems, which are accessible to both audiences and performers. This system requires the user to obtain a headset or hearing aid necklace from the Sales & Information desk prior to the event. Some events have sign language interpreted performances or subtitles.
Induction Loop systems are installed at the Sales & Information desk, Bridges Café Bar, Arena Bar, Pinsent Masons Suite and Deloitte Room. All other meeting rooms and studios have infra-red systems.
