Concessions

Where concessionary tickets are available, they are shown in brackets.

Concessionary tickets apply to the following groups but please note that our staff are required to check ID for every concession price ticket, so be sure to bring proof of eligibility each time you visit.

  • Under 16s (on Price Bands A and B). Please note that for events specifically designed for this age group, a concession is automatically built into the ticket price e.g. children's course, or family cinema tickets
  • Companion seats are available for those with access needs

Please note: Wheelchair seats cannot be booked online at the moment.

Group/School Discounts

Across all of our events and activities, for every 10 tickets you book for a single event, we will give you the 11th ticket absolutely free.*

*This doesn’t apply for events organised by companies hiring the venue.

Refunds

Please check your tickets carefully on receipt and contact us immediately if you have any queries as we won’t be able to refund your tickets unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled.

For outdoor events, refunds will not be issued if the event goes ahead for more than a 30 minute period, regardless of weather conditions, or if the event is moved indoors. If weather conditions force the cancellation of the event entirely, before the start of the performance, full refunds will be offered.

MAC may make alterations to the advertised event, programme or casting in reasonable circumstances without any obligation to refund monies or exchange tickets. MAC may cancel any event without notice and without liability for compensation or damage other than up to a full refund of the ticket price paid.

Resales

Tickets are not transferable and their resale for profit or commercial gain or use in promotions and packages without our express permission is prohibited and may render them void.

Data Protection

All tickets are sold subject to the Data Protection Act 1998: a copy of MAC's Data Protection Policy is available on request. See our Privacy Policy.

Latecomers

We know that being late can happen – and usually for reasons outside your control – so we'll do our best to help you take your seats as soon as possible. However, you may have wait until a suitable break in the performance before being admitted and, at a few performances, may not be admitted at all.

Our cinema has a strict no latecomers policy, due to requests from our patrons.

Equipment

For the sake of everyone’s enjoyment, mobile phones, pagers and other digital/electronic devices must be on silent in the performances spaces.

The unauthorised use of cameras, video, digital or sound recording is prohibited at all events and such items may be confiscated by venue staff.

Online Events

  • How do I join Zoom events/workshops?

If you have booked an event that takes place on Zoom, you will receive an email with the Zoom ID and passcode, plus details about logging in ahead of the event.

We recommend you log in to Zoom at least 15 minutes before the event is due to start.

You must have be signed up to Zoom in order to take part in the event/workshop. Please visit the Zoom Help Centre for more information.

  • How do I watch the online event at home?

If you have booked a ticket for a live stream event, or online performance/screening, you will be able to watch the content at home via our website. Simply log on to your MAC Account, and head to the event page to unlock the content.

We will also email all customers with a link to watch the show after booking.

We recommend logging in at least 15 minutes ahead of the start time, so you’re ready to watch the show as soon as we go live.

  • What equipment will I need to watch online performances?

You must have a device compatible with YouTube and Vimeo e.g. iPad, desktop, smart phone or laptop computer.

It is recommended audiences check they have a stable internet connection ahead of the show to enjoy the best experience. You can watch the online event on your mobile, but we recommend using a larger screen for maximum viewer experience.

  • What is the difference between 'on demand' and 'live stream' events?

'On demand' events are pre-recorded shows that are released online, and can be watched over a fixed time-frame, e.g. over the course of a weekend.

If you book an 'on demand' event you will have access to the show/screening for a specified time period, which will be outlined in the event details.

A 'live stream' (or 'live broadcast') is an event being captured live and shown online for audiences in real time. You will only have access to this content at the specified showing time.

If you experience technical difficulties, please get in touch with us at [email protected].
