About our events

To coincide with the exhibition, Acts Of Creation: On Art and Motherhood, MAC Cinema launches a new season interrogating notions of a ‘bad mum’. Taken from across nine decades of cinema, these extraordinary films present motherhood in all its complexities – the love, the rage, the joy and the never-ending battle against the strictures of the patriarchy.

Select titles include a live onstage introduction from Dr Sabina Stent.
