We see a stern headmistress or authority figure in an olive-green military-style coat adorned with various tools and implements, looming intimidatingly over a young schoolgirl in a grey uniform. The setting appears to be a schoolyard with other uniformed students in the background.

About Colour Box: Matilda Singalong

Calling all REVOLTING children! Join us for the last of our melodramatic themed screenings and sing your heart out! Use some of your newly gained illusion skills (and your vocal cords) to help Matilda fight for justice! Fed up with mistreatment, a gifted young girl uses her newly discovered powers to stand up for herself and her fellow classmates in this retelling of the Tony and Olivier award winning musical Matilda based on the much loved Roald Dahl book.

For the 10am workshop before the film, we’ll be teaching you some simple illusion tricks to have people believing you too can move things with your mind…just like Matilda.

The drop-in workshop begins at 10am in the Performance Studio and the relaxed/subtitled film screening begins at 11am in the Cinema. Tickets are also available to see the film without the workshop.
