About Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me at The Mockingbird

Twin Peaks is a place that David Lynch never really leaves. When the original series was unceremoniously axed in 1991, the denizens of this mysterious town would eventually return to the small screen in 2017 - but in between, there was Fire Walk With Me.

A pitch black horror film that depicted the final days of murdered schoolgirl Laura Palmer, Fire Walk With Me did what a TV series on network television could never really do – show us the true face of evil, in the form of a possessed father who rapes his own daughter. Largely stripped of the show’s quirky humour, Lynch’s film features an astonishingly powerful performance from Sheryl Lee and counts as one of the most impressive examples of how to bring a TV series to the big screen.

Please note: this event is taking place at The Mockingbird Cinema in Digbeth.
