Meet The Brains Behind Beano Books with Craig Graham and Mike Stirling.

Craig Graham and Mike Stirling were both born in Fife, the same year that Dennis first became the cover star of Beano. Since then, they’ve been training to become the Brains Behind Beano Books (making cool stuff for kids from words and funny pictures). They’ve both been Beano Editors, but now Mike is Beano's Director of Mischief and Craig is Director of Mayhem!

Gain entry to a series of free laugh-out-loud workshops and silly shows as part of your morning session ticket, but please note spaces are limited and first come first served. Morning sessions are from 10am and throughout MAC. Pick and mix different sessions to create your perfect day out.

Beano Comic Workshop | 10am and 12pm

Get creative with Hugh Raine from Beano. Hugh has two heads. Yes, two! He has one for writing and another one for illustrating and when he puts those heads together, he creates very silly stories for brilliant comics like the Beano. Lots of these stories are now being collected into Betty & the Yeti collections. Learn how some of the best loved Beano characters are drawn and have a go at creating your own comic masterpiece.

What’s That Noise? - Silly Sound Effects Workshop | 10am and 12pm

Take part in an interactive session with a radio producer and audio book narrator and learn how to create and use sound effects to bring a story to life.
